Crawlux ships Token Schema Audit module, validates FinancialProduct and CryptoExchange JSON-LD at scale

Token schema is the difference between AI engines quoting your token and paraphrasing it. Crawlux ships the Token Schema Audit module today, the first dedicated audit that validates FinancialProduct and CryptoExchange JSON-LD across every page on a crypto site. 14 fields validated for FinancialProduct, 9 for CryptoExchange, one consolidated report.

LONDON · MARCH 20, 2026

Three months of audit data made the case for this module. Across the Crawlux corpus, FinancialProduct schema implementation predicted AI citation rate more strongly than any other single signal: pages with valid FinancialProduct schema were cited at 2.4x the rate of pages without it, and cited at 1.9x the rate of pages with partial or invalid schema. The signal works. The problem is that almost nobody implements it cleanly.

The new module audits two schema types at scale. FinancialProduct covers token pages, tokenized assets and yield products. 14 fields validated: name, alternateName, identifier (contract address), category, provider (issuer), tickerSymbol, currentExchangeRate, exchangeRateSpread, interestRate, annualPercentageRate, feesAndCommissionsSpecification, termsOfService, disclaimer, dateModified. Each field gets checked against schema.org spec, Google rich-results requirements, and crypto-specific value patterns (contract addresses validated against chain, tickers cross-referenced against CoinGecko).

CryptoExchange covers centralized and decentralized exchanges. 9 fields validated: name, currenciesAccepted, paymentAccepted, areaServed, hasOfferCatalog, knowsAbout (supported chains), audience (KYC tier), termsOfService, privacyPolicy. The areaServed validation is the one most exchanges miss: declaring jurisdictions correctly is both a schema requirement and a regulatory disclosure. The audit flags missing or contradictory jurisdiction declarations.

Why this is harder than it sounds. Token pages on most crypto sites are templated, often hundreds at a time, often auto-generated from a single source. A single template error propagates across every page. The module audits every token page on a site in parallel, surfaces the template-level errors once, and lists every page affected. The fix is a single template edit. The audit makes the scope of the fix visible.

Common failure patterns the audit surfaces. Capitalization errors in field names (financialProduct vs FinancialProduct vs financial-product). Missing required fields (no tickerSymbol on a token page that exists primarily for the ticker). Contradictory values (currentExchangeRate dated three months ago on a stablecoin page that should reflect daily pricing). Pseudo-schema (schema declared but with values like "TBD" or empty strings that defeat the structured-data purpose). Stale dateModified fields that suppress the freshness signal AI engines rely on.

The module runs as part of every Crawlux Pro audit at no additional cost. The findings page lists every flagged token page with the specific field error and a remediation snippet. For sites with 100+ token pages, the audit returns in under 4 minutes median. Beta-cohort sites that shipped the top-three module recommendations saw FinancialProduct cite rate climb from 18% pre-audit to 47% post-audit within 21 days. The pattern was consistent: most of the lift came from fixing a single template, not editing pages individually.

The module pairs with the Crypto Schema Generator (released Feb 10) and Token Schema Tester (Mar 17). Generator builds new schema. Tester validates schema on a single URL. The Audit module validates schema across every token page on a site in one pass. The three together cover the schema lifecycle from creation through ongoing validation. Methodology behind all three is open under CC BY-SA.

Access the module through any Crawlux Pro audit at crawlux.com/audit. Module documentation, field-by-field validation rules and the cross-reference data sources are public at crawlux.com/audit/token-schema-audit. For projects shipping new token pages weekly (most exchanges, NFT marketplaces, RWA tokenization platforms), the audit functions as a regression test for the schema. Catching the template error before deployment costs minutes. Catching it across 400 deployed pages later costs days.

The number

Pages with valid FinancialProduct schema are cited by AI engines at 2.4x the rate of pages without it. The signal works. Almost nobody implements it cleanly. The Audit module finds the template error that breaks 400 pages at once.
