Getting started

Run your first audit, understand the score, read the report and decide what to fix first.

Run your first audit in 2 minutes

Go to crawlux.com/free-crypto-seo-audit. Enter your domain. No signup, no credit card. The free tier audit runs the 23 analyzers in 60 seconds median and returns a 0-100 Grader score plus the top 5 fixes ranked by expected score lift. Pro tier audits at $25 add unlimited re-runs, weekly tracking and competitor analysis.

Do I need a Crawlux account to run an audit?

No. The free tier runs without signup. Enter your domain at crawlux.com/free-crypto-seo-audit and the audit runs immediately. An account becomes useful at the Pro tier (audit history, weekly tracking, multi-audit comparison). Account creation takes 30 seconds and uses email or OAuth.

Understand the audit score

The Crawlux Grader score is a 0-100 weighted aggregate across four components. Technical SEO 25%. Schema accuracy 25%. AI Visibility 30%. Backlink health 20%. Week-one data across 1,247 crypto sites: median score 38, top performer 91, bottom decile below 12. The full scoring methodology publishes at crawlux.com/blog/crawlux-methodology.

What does the free tier include?

Free tier covers the full 23-analyzer audit with one report. You get the 0-100 Grader score, top 5 prioritized fixes and severity-tagged findings across all 6 audit modules. Free tier limits: 10 audits per IP per day, no audit history retention beyond 30 days, no competitor comparison. Pro tier at $25 per audit removes these limits.

Audit reports

Interpret findings, prioritize fixes, work through the 90-day action plan and track score improvement over time.

Read the audit report PDF

The PDF report has 4 sections. Executive summary with the headline score and top 5 fixes. Module-by-module findings across all 23 analyzers. Vertical-specific analysis comparing your site to the top 20 in your crypto vertical. The 90-day action plan with ordered fix list and effort estimates per finding.

Reading findings by severity

Findings are tagged High (impacts AI citation eligibility or core SEO function), Medium (degrades score but does not block citations) or Low (cosmetic or marginal). Ship Highs within 14 days. Mediums within 30 days. Lows during steady-state maintenance. The fix list is already ordered by expected score impact.

90-day action plan explained

The plan splits the fix list into three 30-day sprints. Days 1-30 cover mechanical fixes (robots.txt, schema migrations, audit firm citation surfacing) that need no content work. Days 31-60 cover content depth (product page expansion, FAQ depth, citation pattern strengthening). Days 61-90 cover compounding signals (Tier 1 source pursuit, on-chain integration documentation, multi-language hreflang). Median lift across the 47-site beta cohort: 18.4% AI citation rate improvement in 30 days.

Compare audits over time

Crawlux Pro tracks every audit run against the same domain and surfaces score-component diffs week-over-week. Free tier returns the current audit only. Pro tier shows trends, prompt-level changes in AI Citation Checker results and finding deltas between successive audits. The trend view sits in your account dashboard once you have at least 2 audits on file.

Can I share my audit report with my team?

Yes. Every audit returns a permanent URL that anyone with the link can view. PDF exports are downloadable from the report page. Team tier ($49 per audit) adds white-label PDF exports with your agency branding. For confidential audits, email [email protected] to enable expiring share links.

How long is an audit valid for?

Audit findings reflect site state at the moment of crawl. The audit URL stays live indefinitely. The methodology updates quarterly, so findings from audits run on previous methodology versions may not match current scoring. For continuous tracking, Crawlux Pro re-runs audits weekly and surfaces score-component diffs.

Billing and pricing

Plan comparison, payment methods, invoice retrieval, refund handling and tier upgrade procedures.

Upgrade from Free to Pro

Click upgrade in any audit report or go directly to crawlux.com/pricing. Pricing is $25 per audit on the Pro tier or $49 per audit on the Team tier. One-time per audit, not subscription. Team tier adds multi-domain audits, white-label PDF exports and API access.

Find your invoice

Invoices for paid audits ship to the email used at checkout within 30 minutes of payment. They also appear in your account dashboard under Billing. Search inbox for sender [email protected] if the invoice did not arrive. For lost invoices older than 90 days, email [email protected] with the audit URL.

Request a refund

Refunds are available within 7 days of audit completion if the audit failed to deliver against the documented methodology. Email [email protected] with the audit URL and reason. Refund decisions arrive within 48 hours. Refunds for completed audits delivered against methodology are not granted, since the methodology publishes openly and audit specifications are pre-disclosed.

Do you support crypto payment?

Yes. USDC and USDT on Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum and Base. Credit card via Stripe is also accepted. Crypto payments process within 2 blocks median. Fiat payments process instantly. Refund handling for crypto payments follows the same 7-day window as fiat.

What does Pro tier add over Free that matters most?

Three things matter most. Unlimited audits per IP (Free is capped at 10 per day). Audit history retention beyond 30 days. Competitor comparison across the top 20 sites in your vertical. Most teams hit the IP cap or the 30-day retention before hitting any other Free-tier limit. Pro pays back within the first month for any team running weekly or more audits.

Account and team

Account setup, password reset, team workspace, role assignments and white-label customization on the Team tier.

Set up team workspace

Available on the Team tier ($49 per audit). Go to your account dashboard and add team members by email. Each member gets their own audit history view plus shared access to multi-domain audits. The owner manages billing and seat assignments. There is no seat cap on the Team tier.

Add and manage roles

Team tier supports three roles. Owner (billing, seat management, all audits). Admin (all audits, no billing access). Member (audit creation and viewing, no team management). Assign roles from the team dashboard. Roles can be changed by Owner or Admin without notification to the affected member.

Configure white-label PDF

Team tier white-label lets you replace Crawlux branding with your agency brand on PDF exports. Upload logo, set primary color, configure the agency footer text. White-label applies only to PDF exports, not to the in-platform UI. The platform UI retains Crawlux branding regardless of tier.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email [email protected] from your account email. Account deletion processes within 7 days and removes all audit history, billing records and personal data per GDPR. Audits run while the account was active stay accessible at their permanent URLs unless you explicitly request URL deletion. Public methodology references in audit URLs do not contain personal data.

Methodology

How analyzers work, what data sources back each module, score weighting and how to challenge a finding.

How the AEO module tests AI engines

The AEO module runs 47 vertical-specific prompts against ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude. Each prompt was nominated by at least 3 of 7 panel testers who asked it organically while researching the vertical in the prior 90 days. Output is a 0-100 score broken down by vertical and engine plus a per-prompt list showing where you were cited, where you were close and where you were absent. Quarterly prompt-set refreshes keep the test relevant.

Token schema validation rules

Crawlux validates token pages against the 14-field FinancialProduct schema rather than the generic Product schema. Required fields include @type, name, description, identifier, offerCount, exchangeRate, sameAs (CoinGecko + Etherscan), audit citation links and current APR or yield where applicable. Sites scoring under 8 of 14 fields are flagged Medium severity. Under 4 of 14 is High severity.

Challenge a finding

Disagree with a Crawlux finding? Email [email protected] with the audit URL and the specific finding ID. Methodology team reviews within 48 hours. If the finding is incorrect, the audit gets a corrected re-run at no cost. The full methodology publishes at crawlux.com/blog/crawlux-methodology, so most challenges resolve by reviewing the rule that triggered the finding.

How often does the methodology update?

Quarterly. Each update includes new analyzer modules where applicable, refreshed prompt sets for the AI Citation Checker and AEO Test, updated Tier 1 source list and refreshed Web3 Backlink Toxicity Rubric weights. Version history publishes alongside each update so teams can pin to specific methodology versions for reproducible audit comparison.

Can I use the methodology in my own audit work?

Yes. The full methodology publishes under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 at crawlux.com/blog/crawlux-methodology. Apply it in client work, agency audits or internal tooling with attribution to Crawlux. Commercial use is allowed. The platform automates the methodology; the methodology itself is open.

Troubleshooting

Audit failures, missing findings, data accuracy questions and what to do when something looks unexpected.

Audit failed to complete

Audits time out if the target site has Cloudflare bot challenges enabled at WAF level. Disable "AI Scrapers and Crawlers" managed rule in Cloudflare WAF, then re-run. If the site blocks GPTBot or ClaudeBot in robots.txt, the AEO module returns partial results. The audit completion email shows which modules ran successfully and which timed out, with re-run instructions for partial completions.

Findings I expected are missing

Two common causes. First, the finding may not have triggered against the rule threshold (severity rules are documented at crawlux.com/blog/crawlux-methodology). Second, the analyzer may have skipped the URL due to access constraints (robots.txt disallow, login wall, geo block). Check the "Modules run" section of your audit report. Modules listed as "skipped" did not generate findings.

Score seems too low or too high

Scores in the 11-22 range are below median (median 38 across 1,247 sites in week one). Pre-launch protocols often score in this range due to limited baseline citations and minimal Tier 1 source presence. Scores above 70 are top-decile and usually reflect deliberate engineering work on schema, audit firm citations and AI bot policy. If your score feels wrong, run the same audit a week later. AI engine indexing drift produces 1-3 point variance week-over-week.

Why does my AI Citation Checker score vary week-over-week?

Natural AI engine indexing drift produces 1-3 point variance on the AI Citation Checker score. The 23-analyzer technical components are stable. Treat moves under 4 points as noise. Moves over 5 points likely reflect actual change (your site updated, a competitor moved or the engine indexed new content).
