Run a free Crawlux audit of your live domain

You optimized one page. Crawlux is our free audit tool — it scans every URL on your domain and gives you a complete report on meta titles, meta descriptions, schema, AI visibility and 4 more areas. Takes about 4 minutes. No signup, no credit card.

200+ Web3 brands audited · No credit card · No setup

// How it works

Three steps. About 60 seconds end to end.

No signup. No data leaves your browser. Variants update live as you type.

01

Enter primary keyword and brand

Type the primary keyword that must lead every meta title and description. Add brand name (appears after the pipe in titles). Optional: secondary keywords to thread through, key benefit, CTA word, year for freshness.

02

Pick your page type

10 crypto page templates: token landing, dApp home, DEX swap, audit page, tokenomics, whitepaper, NFT collection, docs, blog post, FAQ. Each loads variant patterns specific to that page intent.

03

Pick your best variant

5 title and 3 meta description variants generated. Each shows character count, pixel width estimate, and color-coded warnings if you are near truncation. SERP preview renders the chosen pair Google-accurate. Copy with one click.

// Why this matters

Meta titles are still the highest-leverage 60 characters on your site.

Six things this optimizer enforces that crypto founders routinely get wrong.

Primary keyword position

Search engines weight earlier words more heavily for relevance. AI engines do similar inference. A title starting with the primary keyword signals topic relevance unambiguously. A title that buries the keyword behind brand or filler words signals less relevance, even if the keyword is technically present.

Pixel width over character count

Google truncates around 580 pixels, not 60 characters. "MMM" and "iii" take very different pixel widths. The tool measures both and color-codes when you are getting close to truncation. The character count is a guideline; the pixel width is the hard limit.

Pipe-separated brand suffix

Pipe is the recommended brand separator in 2026 SEO conventions. Dashes can look like part of the keyword phrase and confuse parsers. Pipe is visually distinct and treated as a clear delimiter. The variants here use pipe by default and warn if your brand name has a dash that conflicts.

Meta description starts with the keyword too

Same rule as title: primary keyword in the first 30 characters of the meta description. AI engines especially use meta descriptions when summarizing search results, so leading with the keyword improves both Google CTR and AI summarization accuracy.

Variant generation pattern

Generic title generators output one variant. The Crawlux generator produces 5 title patterns: keyword-only, keyword + secondary, keyword + benefit, keyword + use case, keyword + year. You pick the variant that best matches your page intent. Same approach for meta descriptions: 3 patterns covering question, statement and direct-CTA framings.

SERP preview accuracy

The preview renders your title and meta description in Google desktop SERP format: title in blue, URL in green, description in gray. Truncation indicators show exactly where Google would cut off if your title or description exceeds the pixel budget. No guessing.

Common questions about meta title optimization for crypto

Patterns from crypto SEO audits and TG3 client onboarding calls.

Why does primary keyword position matter in meta titles?

Search engines weight earlier words in a title more heavily for relevance scoring. AI engines do similar inference. A title starting with the primary keyword signals topic relevance unambiguously. A title that buries the keyword behind brand or filler words signals less relevance, even if the keyword is technically present.

What is the right character length for a meta title?

50 to 60 characters is the conventional range. The real constraint is pixel width — Google truncates around 580 pixels. Short words pack more characters into the same pixel budget. This tool measures both character count and estimated pixel width and color-codes when you are getting close to truncation.

Should I use a pipe or dash as the brand separator?

Pipe is the recommended separator in 2026 SEO conventions. Dashes can look like part of the keyword phrase and confuse parsers. Pipe is visually distinct and treated as a clear delimiter by search engines and AI engines. The exception is if your brand name has a dash in it already.

Why is meta description length 150 to 160 characters?

Google displays roughly 155 characters on desktop SERPs, sometimes more on mobile. Beyond 160 you get truncation with an ellipsis. Below 140 you waste real estate that competitors are using. The sweet spot is 150 to 160 with the primary keyword in the first 30 characters.

Do meta descriptions still matter in 2026?

Yes, for two reasons. Click-through rate from Google SERPs is still meaningful for transactional crypto queries. AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) read meta descriptions when summarizing search results. A weak meta description hurts both Google CTR and AI engine summarization accuracy.

How should crypto-specific keywords be handled?

Crypto keywords often have exact-match high-intent variants (e.g. staking rewards, gas fees, audit firm, tokenomics). The technique is to lead with the primary keyword, then thread secondary keywords through the meta description in natural-language order. The page templates here are pre-loaded with crypto keyword suggestions per page type.

Should every page on my site have a unique meta title?

Yes. Duplicate meta titles trigger Google to truncate or rewrite them, hurting CTR. Each page targets a slightly different primary keyword. The Crawlux Technical SEO audit module flags duplicate or missing meta titles across your live domain so you can fix them in bulk.

What does the SERP preview show?

The preview renders your generated title and meta description in the exact format Google uses on desktop SERPs: title at the top in blue, URL underneath in green, meta description in gray below. It also shows where truncation will happen if your title or description exceeds the pixel width budget.

// The hard math

Meta titles still drive the first 30 percent of crypto SEO results

Of all the things crypto founders argue about in SEO meetings, meta titles get the least attention proportionate to their impact. The math is annoying: 50 to 60 characters control 30 percent of search visibility outcomes for any given page. Most pages on most crypto sites get titles in 90 seconds of distracted thought, then never get revisited.

This optimizer exists because the rules for what makes a good meta title are mechanical, but the discipline to follow them is not.

What the rules actually are

Three rules cover 90 percent of meta title quality:

Primary keyword first. Not after brand. Not after a clever phrase. Not after a number. First. Google and AI engines weight position. Earlier wins.

Pipe-separated brand suffix. Dash separators confuse parsers. Colons feel formal. Pipe is the convention. Use it.

Stay under 580 pixels. Not 60 characters. Pixel width. The word "Million" takes about twice the pixel width of the word "Mini". Count pixels, not characters. The tool measures both.

Why crypto-specific page types matter

A token landing page has different optimal title patterns than a DEX swap page or an audit page. Token landing pages want keyword + ticker + brand. DEX pages want keyword + asset pair + brand. Audit pages want "free" prefix + keyword + brand. Generic title generators do not know this. The Crawlux optimizer ships with 10 crypto page-type templates because the patterns genuinely differ by intent.

How meta descriptions earn their keep in 2026

Two failure modes: meta description does not lead with the keyword, or meta description is missing entirely. Both lose. Google's CTR for descriptions starting with the target keyword is roughly 15 to 30 percent higher than for descriptions with the keyword buried. AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity especially) use the meta description verbatim when summarizing search results, so a weak description directly degrades how AI engines describe your project.

Where this fits in the AEO stack

Meta titles and descriptions are the Technical SEO layer. The Crypto Schema Generator handles JSON-LD on top of this. The llms.txt Generator handles the AI-readable site context layer. The AEO FAQ Generator handles question-answer content. Each tool is narrow. Use them together.

The audit overlay

This tool optimizes one page at a time. The Crawlux Technical SEO audit module scans every URL on your live domain and flags meta title issues in bulk: duplicates, missing tags, pixel width violations, primary keyword in unusual positions. For a project with 50+ pages, the audit is the right way to find the broken ones. This tool is the right way to fix them.
